LPL Summer 2023 highlights

The LPL 2023 Summer Split is notable for the presence of former Mid-Season Invitational 2023 champions JD Gaming as well as MSI 2023 runner-up team Bilibili Gaming. Fifteen other teams will join them in the battle for a Worlds 2023 slot and the main prize money:

• The full list of LPL Summer 2023 participants includes Anyone`s Legend, Bilibili Gaming, EDward Gaming, FunPlus Phoenix, Invictus Gaming, JD Gaming, LGD Gaming, LNG Esports, NiP, OMG, Rare Atom, Royal Never Give Up, Team WE, ThuderTalk Gaming, TOP Esports, Ultra Prime and Weibo Gaming.

LPL Summer 2023 participants will draw 604,000, but not everyone will make it to the prizes. The cash prize will be awarded to the top 6 teams and the remaining clubs will retain their place in the league for next year, but their places may be bought out by other clubs.

Format of LPL Summer 2023

The LPL 2023 Spring Split will be held in several stages. First, 17 teams will play the group stage (regular season) and then the play-offs.

The group stage will be played in a Single Round Robin format with a maximum of 3 matches. At the end of the games, 10 teams will advance to the play-offs.

The teams in the regular-season top 2 will advance to the semifinals, the 3rd and 4th ranked teams in the last round of the main draw, teams in 5th and 6th place will start the play-offs in the second round and teams in 7th to 10th will advance to the first round of the main draw.

The LPL Summer 2023 play-offs will be divided into two phases. First, teams from 3rd to 10th place will be divided into two nets, where they will play in a King-of-the-Hill format. At the end of the first phase, 4 teams will advance.

The final round will be played in a Double Elimination format. All matches, including the grand final, will be played to three victories (bo5). The winner of LPL Summer 2023 will represent China in Worlds 2023.

All LPL Summer 2023 matches will be available to watch on the official Riot Games channels on YouTube, Huya, Tencent, Twitch. You can also follow what's happening on the Chinese stage on third-party platforms such as EGamersWorld.

We broadcast all LPL games from the group stage to the big play-offs. The broadcast pool is official, Riot channels, but the match pages with all sorts of information (team statistics, club squads, latest results, selection of champions, match history and live scoring) are available in 12 languages.
