On September 12, the second game day of the main event of The International 2025 took place. Among all the matches, one of the main sensations was HEROIC’s victory over Tundra Esports 2-0 in Lower Bracket Round 1. As expected, the teams played a spectacular match, and HEROIC, once again with their unusual strategies, claimed the victory and advanced to the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals.

Match Progress

In this match, most analysts and experts considered Tundra Esports the favorite. This season, the team had achieved the most prize-winning places at top-level tournaments, but at TI 2025 they performed below their standard. HEROIC, on the other hand, surprisingly exceeded all expectations.

On the first map, HEROIC immediately started with aggressive play, leading 5-1 by the 5th minute. However, Tundra Esports fought back successfully from time to time, making good pickoffs on enemy heroes and even catching up in net worth. Still, in the midgame, HEROIC pulled ahead again, and thanks to the strong performance of Yuma and Ursa, they quickly closed out the opponent, winning 37-11. The match lasted 33 minutes.

On the second map, HEROIC once again decided to play with an unconventional draft and picked Pudge in the carry position. The strategy worked again, and despite an even early game, HEROIC managed to break away. Tundra Esports, on the other hand, looked very unusual — they made mistakes that were not typical for them, and in teamfights they could not clearly coordinate their actions. As a result, HEROIC won 39-22. The match lasted 46 minutes.

Thus, HEROIC sensationally advance to the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals, where they will face the loser of the Xtreme Gaming vs PARIVISION match.
