At The International 2025, which concluded on September 14, a total of 18 heroes were neither picked nor banned throughout the tournament. The list includes: Arc Warden, Drow Ranger, Jakiro, Legion Commander, Lich, Lina, Omniknight, Outworld Devourer, Phantom Assassin, Riki, Skywrath Mage, Techies, Treant Protector, Venomancer, Viper, Visage, Witch Doctor, and Wraith King.

On the other hand, the event also highlighted the most popular heroes. The top picks were Disruptor, Snapfire, Bane, Earthshaker, and Pugna — frequently chosen for their versatility and impact on the outcome of matches.

As for bans, Naga Siren was the most frequently targeted, followed by Beastmaster, Marci, Earthshaker, and Nature's Prophet. These heroes are considered some of the strongest in the current patch and posed significant threats to opponents.

It’s worth recalling that the champions of The International 2025 were Team Falcons, who claimed their first-ever Aegis of Champions after defeating Xtreme Gaming 3–2 in a tense grand final.
