Team Spirit Defeated Tundra Esports at The International 2025 Group Stage
On September 4, the main Dota 2 tournament of the year, The International 2025, began. In Round 3 of the Group Stage, Team Spirit defeated Tundra Esports in an exciting match with a score of 2-1. In this article, we will explain how Team Spirit managed to win and highlight the most interesting moments of the match.
Map 1: Tundra Esports use the meta and win
The Team Spirit vs Tundra Esports match in Round 3 of the Group Stage at The International 2025 attracted a lot of attention. Both teams are among the favorites to win, but did not perform very well on the first day of the tournament.
The first map of this clash started calmly. The teams played cautiously, rarely initiated fights, and focused more on farming and gaining levels. Doom, played by Tundra Esports’ 33, looked excellent. Buying Dominator was a brilliant decision, as it allowed him to farm both the lane and the jungle at the same time.
Tundra Esports won several team fights, pulled ahead, and secured the victory with a score of 22-10. The match lasted 36 minutes.
Map 2: Team Spirit equalize the score
The second map began similarly to the first, but this time with an advantage for Team Spirit. A major role in this was played by Yatoro on Ursa and Larl on Shadow Fiend. Both players farmed a strong net worth and in fights destroyed their opponents while easily taking down towers.
Tundra Esports tried to drag out the game, but in the late game Team Spirit’s advantage only grew. The team won with a score of 29-10 in 40 minutes and tied the series.
Map 3: Team Spirit shine again
The third map of this match was the most exciting. The teams played much more actively, realizing that to defeat the opponent, they had to play aggressively. Team Spirit had the better draft for this strategy. Yatoro on Troll Warlord managed to get 12 kills and was almost untouchable for Tundra Esports. Chen was also a great pick, providing the team with a lot of regeneration. Closer to the mid game, Team Spirit managed to gain a solid advantage and secured the win. The match ended with a score of 30-17 in 43 minutes.
Team Spirit now hold a 2-1 record and have a chance to fight for a direct spot in the playoffs of The International 2025.
