From May 6 to May 11, 2025, one of the most exciting Dota 2 LAN tournaments of the year — BLAST Slam III — is taking place. The event has brought together 10 of the best teams in the world, all competing for the championship title and a $1 million prize pool. As mentioned above, BLAST Slam III features an unusual format. While most Dota 2 tournaments use best-of-two or best-of-three formats, this event uses a best-of-one (bo1) format. Since each match consists of only a single game, teams played four matches in one day, completing the entire group stage. Here are the results and standings for each group.

As we can see, Team Spirit unexpectedly finished at the bottom of the standings, while Gaimin Gladiators performed impressively to secure second place. However, no teams are eliminated after the group stage — their standings only determine their starting positions in the playoffs.
