Team Liquid’s Playoff Journey at PGL Wallachia Season 4

The playoffs of PGL Wallachia Season 4 featured 8 teams, including Team Liquid. In the first round, they faced Tundra Esports and, after a very close series, defeated them 2-1. In the Upper Bracket Semifinals, Team Liquid faced an even tougher opponent — Team Spirit — but surprisingly, they handled them with ease, winning 2-0. In the Upper Bracket Final, Team Liquid went up against PARIVISION, considered one of the tournament favorites, and lost a tight series 1-2. However, since they were still in the upper bracket, they had another chance to fight for the championship, playing one more match against Tundra Esports in the Lower Bracket Final.

Team Liquid vs. Tundra Esports

Fans eagerly anticipated this match, as there was no clear favorite, although Team Liquid had shown slightly more confident play throughout the tournament. As expected, the tension was high right from the start, and every hero pick could be decisive. Team Liquid made an excellent choice by picking Morphling as their carry, who played the entire game without a single death, helping the team secure victory in the first game. Team Liquid took the lead 1-0 with a score of 32-16 in 36 minutes.

The second map turned out to be even more exciting. Tundra Esports approached the hero draft and laning stage much more thoughtfully, preventing Liquid from gaining an early advantage. However, once again, thanks to their carry — this time Templar Assassin — Team Liquid managed to pull ahead and claim the win. Team Liquid secured the second map with a score of 37-22 in 41 minutes, advancing to the Grand Final where they will face PARIVISION.
