NAVI Junior's Revenge Win Over Natus Vincere in the Grand Final of PGL Wallachia S4: EEC Qualifier

The PGL Wallachia Season 4: Eastern Europe Closed Qualifier turned out to be an exciting event. These qualifiers stood out for their high level of competition, top-tier gameplay, and intense matchups. We previously covered the Upper Bracket Final, where Natus Vincere defeated NAVI Junior to secure their spot in the Grand Final. However, the junior squad battled their way through the Lower Bracket and also reached the Grand Final, where they took their revenge against the main team.

Natus Vincere vs. NAVI Junior V2.0

NAVI Junior's Revenge Win Over Natus Vincere in the Grand Final of PGL Wallachia S4: EEC Qualifier 1

Before diving into the match, it's important to note that these teams had already faced each other earlier this year in a similar setting. At PGL Wallachia Season 3: Eastern Europe Closed Qualifier, NAVI defeated NAVI Junior, earning a spot in the tournament’s main stage. So, by the time they met at PGL Wallachia S4: EEC Qualifier, both teams were well aware of each other's strengths. Nevertheless, the match turned out to be just as thrilling.

After dropping to the Lower Bracket Final, NAVI Junior cruised past 9Pandas with a 2-0 victory, securing their Grand Final appearance against the main roster. The final was played in a Bo5 format, meaning there was no room for lucky wins.

The first map set the tone for an intense series, as both teams refused to give up their advantage. After nearly an hour of play, NAVI Junior closed it out with a 35-21 score. The second map followed a similar pattern, with the game stretching into the late stage once again. NAVI Junior secured another win, this time 38-28, after a grueling 55-minute battle. At this point, NAVI fans started to worry—how was the main team losing 0-2 to their junior squad?

But then came the comeback. Born to Win finally pulled themselves together, dominating the third map with a 28-14 score in just 38 minutes. They followed it up with an even cleaner victory on map four, 31-12, wrapping it up in 33 minutes. The series was now tied 2-2, heading into a decisive fifth map.

If you had asked anyone before the series whether they expected this kind of match, the answer would have been a resounding "no." But what happened on map five was truly unexpected. Either Natus Vincere became too relaxed, or NAVI Junior started feeling like The International champions—because the junior squad completely obliterated their main team with a 31-8 stomp. The match lasted 31 minutes, averaging a kill per minute for NAVI Junior.

Conclusion

With this victory, NAVI Junior took their revenge on Natus Vincere, winning the Grand Final of PGL Wallachia S4: EEC Qualifier and earning a spot in the tournament’s main stage. PGL Wallachia Season 4 will take place from April 19 to April 27, 2025, in Bucharest, Romania, featuring 16 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool.
