Valve announced a new Dota 2 hero - Muerta

Before the start of The International 2022 Grand Finals, Valve announced a new Dota 2 hero. The next 124 playable Dota 2 character will be Muerta.

The new character of Dota 2 will be the female Muerta. The creators of Dota 2 did not give detailed information about the hero, but they developed the ground for reflection.

The hero will be armed with a revolver, and the character himself is clearly inspired by Spanish folklore and the culture of the country. The very name of the hero hints at the fact that she is undead, or is closely associated with the world of the dead: Muerta is translated from Spanish as "dead or death."

Rumors about a character tied to the world of the inanimate have been floating around in the Dota 2 community for a long time. Apparently, the heroine will be closely associated with Persona on Phantom Assassin Exile Unveile.

The altered personality of Phantom Assassin, aka Asan, often calls out to his mother and talks about the Order of the Veil (of which Phantom Assassin is a part). In a short introduction video, the heroine mentions the Order of the Veil, thus confirming the connection with Assan added to the game on October 16th. However, much more food for thought will appear with the addition of lore to the character.
