Team Liquid destroyed Xtreme Gaming in the match for life at the Last Chance Qualifier
Yuriy SheremetThe last match of the penultimate game day within the playoffs of the Last Chance Qualifier has ended. We watched the series for life between Team Liquid and Xtreme Gaming, where the former did not leave even a wet spot from Xtreme.
Xtreme Gaming decided to play stable on the first map: Terrorblade's strong carry, Paparazzi's Ember Spirit in the mid lane, and Death Prophet's favorite were supposed to create a comfortable game for Xtreme Gaming, but Team Liquid thought differently. Having played as far as possible with Undying, Enigma and Slark, “liquid” stomped the lanes with lightning speed and closed the first map on the 19th minute with a score of 17-2.
On the second map, which became a matchpoint, Xtreme tried to show Lone Druid and Death Prophet in the mid, but ran into a counter pick in the form of Shadow Fiend, Witch Doctor and MATUMBA's signature Pudge. Xtreme Gaming, after a failed fight near the lower tier-2 tower of the forces of light, tried to turn it over on buybacks, but the advantage on the side of Liquid was too pronounced - Liquid beat Xtreme with a score of 29-6 in 26 minutes.
Xtreme Gaming leave the event in 5-6th place, joining T1 there. Team Liquid continue their path to a slot at The International, and their next opponent on the way to the group stage will be Xtreme's regional colleagues Vici Gaming.
