Dota 2 Champions League Season 14 Announced
Maksym ShylovTournament operator Epic Esports Events has announced Dota 2 Champions League Season 14 on social networks. The 14th season will be subject to changes in terms of organization.
The first change will affect the qualifiers. The organizers will hold an open qualifier, as a result of which the winner will join the participants of the upcoming competition. The names of the remaining 15 participants who received invitations are already known.
Of the teams that received invitations, we note SG esports. The team represents South America. In the DPC 2021/2022 season, SG esports managed to go down to the second division and return back. The club finished 5th in DPC SA 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I and earned $25,000.
For comparison, it is worth noting that in the 13th season, 2 slots were allocated for open qualifiers, and 4 teams received invitations directly to the playoff stage. Last season's winner was BetBoom Team, which recently added RodjER.
Dota 2 Champions League Season 14 will be held from August 15 to 28 this year. 16 teams will compete for a $50,000 prize pool. The winner will receive the top prize of $20,000.
