Tournament operator 4D Esports, which is responsible for organizing the DPC SA 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I, announced that, together with Valve, they have decided to punish Héctor Antonio 'K1' Rodríguez for making a racist statement during matchmaking.

Previously, the player used a racist reference to South Korean Kim 'Febby' Yong-min during a ranked match, whose last team was TNC Predator. K1 asked his teammate for help in the following way: “Ching Chong, pull the creeps”. This phrase was regarded as offensive.

As a sanction, the player will miss the duel against Thunder Awaken. Beastcoast will need to find a replacement for his carry. The match is scheduled for July 15th. The teams will determine the winner of the final part of the 2021/2022 DPC ranking season in South America.
