DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I: Vici Gaming bounced back against Dandelion Esports Club
Maksym ShylovThe match within the first division of China has come to an end, in which Vici Gaming, having the statistics of 2-2, fought with the newcomers of the top league from Dandelion Esport Club. The team has already managed to score a sensational victory over Royal Never Give Up, but after that they lost three matches in a row. For VG, the motivation is obvious - the team needs to go to the Major and score points in order to get to The International. And the team from the second division needs to try to gain a foothold in the middle of the standings in order to maintain a place in Division I.
The beginning of the first map was fairly even for both teams, closer to the middle of the game Vici Gaming began to gain momentum. At the 18th minute, Erika and the team had an advantage of over 3,000 gold. Unfortunately, this is the biggest advantage of VG on this map. Thanks to the good performance of Dandelion Esport Club, the team managed to win on the first map with a score of 27:33 in their favor in 40 minutes.
The fate of the second card was decided at the stage of picks. Dandelion decided that their carry in the person of Summer should play on Weaver, who managed to die at the start twice in a row, and in general looked out of place against the opponent's heroes in the game. In 15 minutes, Vici Gaming was already leading with a score of 10:6. Despite the attempts of Dandelion Esport Club to regain the initiative, Erika's Morphling turned out to be stronger. Vici Gaming leveled the score in the series in 30 minutes with the statistics of 33:14 and moved the confrontation to the decisive map.
In the 6th minute of the final map, Xm used Dream Coil to kill Dandelion Esport Club's Venomancer and Enigma on the bottom lane. Vici Gaming as a whole started to dominate with 7 kills in 8 minutes and a gold lead of over 2,000. And this dominance continued. In the 18th minute VG were already leading 21:5 and more than 13,000 in gold. As a result, Vici Gaming returned to the race for slots at the PGL Arlington Major, gaining the upper hand with a score of 2:1.
Recall that DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I runs from June 7th to July 15th of this year in an online format. The top 8 teams in China are fighting for $205,000 in prize money, 1150 DPC points and 4 slots in the PGL Arlington Major. The 2 worst teams will continue to play in Division II.
