Welcome to all esports and Counter-Strike 2 fans! From August 20 to August 24, 2025, the biggest CS2 tournament of the year – Esports World Cup 2025 is taking place. Sixteen of the strongest teams will compete in a Single-Elimination bracket for the championship title and a prize pool of $1,250,000. Among the matches of the second game day, we highlight MOUZ vs VP, which promises to be very exciting. While the teams are preparing, we will share our CS2 betting prediction and a match preview.

Without a single loss in the lower bracket, MOUZ advanced further.
MOUZ showed even better performance in the playoffs. They defeated FURIA, swept FaZe Clan, followed by wins over G2 Esports and ENCE. In the grand final of ESL Pro League S18, MOUZ beat NaVi 3-0, becoming the tournament champions.
Their strong performances continued at IEM Sydney 2023 (3rd–4th place), CS Asia Championships 2023 (2nd place), and BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 (3rd–4th place). It was in the 2023 season that MOUZ began to be considered a serious threat on the professional CS2 scene.
The 2024 season was no less eventful for MOUZ. The team first placed in the top 8 at PGL Major CS2 Copenhagen 2024, then solidified their success with a 2nd place finish at Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024.
At ESL Pro League Season 19, MOUZ once again proved their strength in this tournament. They looked very confident in the playoffs — winning the entire championship and sweeping Vitality 3-0 in the grand final.
At IEM Dallas 2024, they only finished in the top 12 — a surprising result for a team of this caliber.
At the Esports World Cup 2024, MOUZ started with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Sashi Esports. In the playoffs, they defeated FURIA (2-1) and finished in the top 4, losing to NaVi in the final.
At IEM Cologne 2024, the situation was similar — MOUZ played well again and finished in the top 4, once again losing to NaVi.
At ESL Pro League Season 20, MOUZ unexpectedly underperformed and failed to reach the playoffs. This may have been due to fatigue, as MOUZ had a very busy season.
At IEM Rio 2024, MOUZ returned to form, defeating Complexity and FaZe. In the playoffs, they beat Vitality (2-1) and FURIA (2-0), but lost the final to NaVi 1-3, finishing 2nd. At BLAST Premier: World Final 2024 — top 6.
At PW Shanghai Major 2024, they reached the elimination stage thanks to a top 1-2 finish at European RMR A. They started with a win over paiN Gaming, but then lost to MongolZ and FaZe, followed by a victory over 3DMax. In a do-or-die match, they beat MIBR. In the playoffs, they defeated MongolZ 2-0 (with some difficulties) but lost to Spirit 0-2.
The 2025 season started off rough. At BLAST Bounty Spring 2025: Closed Qualifier, the team only placed in the top 32, and at IEM Katowice 2025, they were eliminated in the group stage, finishing 16th.
MOUZ showed a strong result at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025. The team began with wins over BIG and 3DMax, but then lost to Falcons and FaZe. In the decisive match, they defeated VP and reached the main stage. In the playoffs, they successively beat paiN Gaming, Astralis, and Falcons, becoming the tournament champions.
This was followed by a series of podium finishes:
- 2nd place at ESL Pro League Season 21, BLAST Open Spring 2025, and IEM Dallas 2025;
- 3rd–4th place at IEM Melbourne 2025, BLAST Rivals Spring 2025, and BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
At IEM Cologne 2025, MOUZ played beyond all praise. The team first defeated Team Liquid and NaVi 2-0, and then lost to Team Spirit 1-2 in the Group Stage Upper Bracket Final, still advancing to the playoffs.
In the playoffs, MOUZ started with a 2-1 victory over FURIA, which they followed up with a confident 2-0 victory over Vitality, the strongest team of the season. However, in the final, the team lost 0-3 to Team Spirit, finishing in 2nd place at IEM Cologne 2025.

We continue our CS2 betting picks with an analysis of Vp form.
Vp is a well-known team that plays in many qualifiers and tournaments. Since 2023, they have played in three TIR-A tournaments. These were BB Playlist.Urbanistic, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: European RMR A, and BB Playlist.Freeddom. At two of BB's "home" championships, Vp made it to the top 8, but at the European RMR, things were even less happy - top 14.

Before ESL Pro League S18, VP attended several tournaments but failed to reach high placements. Their opening match in S18 was against Team Liquid, and they won a hard-fought Bo3 series 2-1. They then faced G2 Esports and lost, despite putting up a fight and taking a map. This loss sent them to the lower bracket, where they beat Eternal Fire and once again defeated Liquid to reach the playoffs. However, they were eliminated after a surprising loss to 9z in their first playoff match, finishing 16th overall.
Just before BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2024, VP played and won DreamHack Atlanta’s ESL Challenger, beating Apeks 2-0 in the final. In BLAST Premier Spring Groups, they beat BIG and Cloud9, then defeated BIG again in the group final to qualify for the Spring Final.
At IEM Katowice 2024, VP had a poor showing, finishing in the top 20. At the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen, they placed top 2 in the European RMR A and qualified for IEM Dallas 2024.
At the Copenhagen Major, VP started in the elimination stage. After an initial loss to Imperial, they beat paiN and Heroic to go 2-1, but then fell to Eternal Fire and G2 Esports, resulting in elimination.
At IEM China 2024, they reached the main stage but again lost to G2, finishing 6th. Following that, they took part in ESL Pro League S19 (top 8), IEM Dallas 2024 (top 12), and BB Dacha (top 6). In BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2024, VP finished top 3 in Group B, reaching the playoffs and ultimately finishing top 4 after losing to NaVi.
At the Esports World Cup (EWC), VP started strong, beating Complexity Gaming 2-0, then defeating Vitality 2-1 in playoffs before falling to G2 and finishing top 4.
In 2025, they haven’t played many big events yet, but have shown up at top-tier tournaments: IEM Katowice (top 6), PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 (top 11), BLAST Open Spring and PGL Bucharest (both top 8), IEM Melbourne (top 16), and PGL Astana (top 11). The experience is there, but the results are still inconsistent.
VP's best result of the season was reaching the top 8 at BLAST Bounty Fall 2025: Closed Qualifier with 2-0 wins over MIBR and 2-1 over FaZe, which allowed them to secure a slot in the main tournament where they finished 5-8th.
