The first day of the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2021 group stage has come to an end. Group A has played four matches, while Group B has only two. As a result of the past meetings, Astralis, Evil Geniuses, Team Spirit and Heroic advanced to the next round in the first group. In Group B, Team Vitality and Team Liquid formed the first pair of the semifinal match in the upper bracket. As a reminder, in Team Vitality apEX went intoactive.
