FUT pulled off a major upset against FURIA in the upper-bracket match of IEM Krakow Stage 2, continuing to impress with their confident performances at the tournament. The Turkish team not only held onto their lead on Mirage after a strong first half, but also convincingly closed Dust2 on the opponent’s pick, securing a 2–0 victory and sending FURIA to fight for survival in the lower bracket.

FUT delivered an incredible first half on Mirage. Playing on the CT side, they gave FURIA no room to establish their game and closed the half with a 10:2 scoreline. It seemed almost impossible for FURIA to come back, but they proved otherwise. FURIA responded with an equally strong defense, however FUT won the crucial 24th round, denying FURIA a chance to push the map into overtime.

Dust2 (13:6 FUT)

FUT also looked strong on the opponent’s map pick. In the first half, they played on the CT side and managed to secure seven rounds. After the side switch, FURIA couldn’t find answers to FUT’s playstyle and won only one round on defense. The final score was 13:6 in favor of FUT.

FUT continue to surprise by defeating the VRS No.1 team. After this win, they will face G2 for a spot in the playoffs. FURIA, meanwhile, are forced to continue their run in the lower bracket. IEM Krakow Stage 2 takes place from January 31 to February 3, with 16 teams competing for playoff spots.
