FURIA snatch victory over FUT and advance to the main stage of BLAST Bounty Winter 2026

FURIA defeated FUT in a tense three-map series to secure the final spot at the main stage of BLAST Bounty Winter 2026. The matchup kept fans on edge until the very last rounds on Dust2, where the Brazilian side managed to outlast their opponents and finish the qualifier with a dramatic win.

The map veto looked as follows:

2. FURIA removed Ancient
3. FUT picked Anubis
4. FURIA picked Overpass
5. FUT removed Nuke
6. FURIA removed Mirage
7. Dust2 was left over

Anubis (10:13 FURIA)

FURIA got off to a confident start on their own map pick. They opened the game with a five-round streak, but FUT were able to respond by securing five rounds on the CT side. After the side switch, FUT continued to fight back and tried to turn the game in their favor, but FURIA managed to close out their pick 13:10.

Overpass (13:5)

FUT answered back with an aggressive showing on Overpass. Starting on the CT side, they looked very convincing and finished the half with a dominant 10:2 lead. FURIA failed to find their way back into the game in the second half, as FUT comfortably closed Overpass 13:5 and forced a decider on Dust2.

Dust2 (11:13 FURIA)

The deciding Dust2 was extremely close for both teams. In the first half, FUT held a slight advantage on the CT side, leading 7:5. After switching to CT, FURIA went on an impressive six-round streak to take control of the match. FUT tried to mount a comeback, but molodoy proved to be the key player in the victory. FURIA literally pulled out a 13:11 win on the decisive Dust2.

Match MVP

The best player of the match was FURIA’s AWPer molodoy. Throughout the entire series, he put in maximum effort to secure the win for his team. His stats were impressive: ADR – 88.1, Swing +5.69%, and a 1.41 rating. Notably, he was the only FURIA player with a positive rating in the series.

FURIA became the final team to qualify for the main stage of the tournament. FUT were close to pulling off a sensation, but after a hard-fought match, they exit the competition. BLAST Bounty Winter 2026: Closed Qualifier takes place from January 13 to 18, where 32 teams compete for 8 spots at the LAN event in Malta.
