The group stage of Fragadelphia Miami 2026 kicked off with the opening match of Group C, where Kraken Seas faced NRG. The match immediately set a high tempo for the tournament, showcasing the strong ambitions of the group favorites and becoming a cold shower for Kraken Seas, who were unable to put up a real fight.

The map veto was as follows:

  • Kraken Seas removed Overpass
  • NRG removed Ancient
  • Kraken Seas picked Mirage
  • NRG picked Train
  • Kraken Seas removed Inferno
  • NRG removed Nuke
  • Dust2 was left over

Their own map pick, Mirage, ended in a crushing 2:13 defeat for Kraken Seas. NRG fully controlled the map from the opening rounds and gave their opponents no chance to gain momentum. On Train, NRG once again started with early dominance. Playing on the T side, they secured the majority of rounds and closed the first half with a commanding 10:2 scoreline. After switching to the CT side, Kraken Seas were unable to mount a comeback and eventually fell 2:13.

The best player of the match was Sonic, who finished the series with an ADR of 117.8 and a 1.74 rating.
