SAW completed a comeback against GamerLegion in a tense series at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, winning 2–1 after dropping the opening map on Nuke. Thanks to the brilliant performance of aragornN, the Portuguese squad secured their second win of the tournament and are now just one step away from the playoffs, while GamerLegion find themselves on the brink of elimination.

Nuke (13:6 GamerLegion)

SAW picked Mirage against GamerLegion but failed to deliver quality Counter-Strike. In the first half, GamerLegion had the upper hand with a solid defense. Despite SAW’s aragornN posting the highest ADR of 106.8, his team couldn’t impose their playstyle and fell 6–13.

Inferno (17:19 SAW)

The second map turned into a real thriller. It was hard to name a favorite in the first half as both sides traded rounds and ended it tied at 6–6. The second half followed the same pattern, with neither team breaking away. Even after reaching map point, SAW allowed GamerLegion to push the game into overtime. However, the Portuguese squad eventually closed it out 19–17 and forced a decider.

Ancient (14:16 SAW)

On the decisive Ancient, SAW fought their way to a hard-fought but crucial victory. Once again, aragornN was the key player, stepping up individually to secure the win. GamerLegion came close to finishing the series 2–1 in their favor, but SAW managed to push the map into overtime. There, SAW dropped only two rounds, closing it 16–14.

Match MVP

The best player of the series was aragornN. His individual brilliance on Nuke and Ancient had both tactical and psychological impact on the team. His stats for this intense matchup: ADR – 94.5, Swing +4.73%, and a 1.44 rating.
