BetBoom defeat Legacy – Austin Major 2025 Stage 1
This one wasn’t even close. BetBoom ran over Legacy 13–3 on Anubis to bounce back in the 1-1 pool and move to 2-1 at the Austin Major. A 9-3 T side was already decisive, but the Russian squad didn’t drop a single round on CT to close out a brutal one-sided affair.
Boombl4 was in full control from the start—his 1v2 clutch in Round 9 with 52 HP was vintage—and his IGLing gave BetBoom flawless pacing through the mid-rounds. S1ren had the stats, topping the board with 93.3 ADR and a 1.62 rating, but everyone from zorte to Magnojez played tight, supportive Counter-Strike.
Legacy looked completely out of sync. Only saadzin put up resistance with a quiet +2 scoreline, while latto and lux combined for just 6 frags. Their B setups crumbled early, and even when Magnojez got knife-killed on a bombsite defense, BetBoom were so far ahead it barely registered.
Legacy now falls to the 1-2 pool and will have to fight for tournament life. BetBoom, meanwhile, are one best-of-three away from playoffs, and they’re starting to look like a dark horse threat.
