In the 4th round of the Elimination Stage at the Shanghai Major 2024 High Bracket, MIBR faced Team Liquid. Both teams entered this match with a 2-1 record, meaning the winner would secure a spot in the playoffs.

The first map was chosen by Team Liquid, and they opted for Mirage. It seemed they had prepared a solid strategy, as the game was completely one-sided. By the end of the first half, the score was 10-2 in Liquid’s favor. From such a deficit, it was nearly impossible for MIBR to recover. Ultimately, the map ended with a dominant 13-2 victory for Team Liquid.

MIBR chose Nuke as the second map, which turned out to be much more competitive and thrilling for the fans. The first half concluded with a 6-6 tie, leaving everything open for the second half. Here, MIBR showcased their exceptional positional play and defensive skills. They managed to win Nuke with a 13-10 score, evening the series at 1-1.

The deciding map was Anubis. Anticipation was high, but there were no major surprises. While the first half was closely contested, ending 7-5 in Team Liquid ’s favor, the second half saw Liquid take full control. They gave MIBR no chance, finishing the map with a commanding 13-5 score.
