The first game day of the Legends stage of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 has come to an end, which means it's time to take stock. The second round of the championship turned out to be a series of sensations, with Team Liquid, Monte, Vitality and Heroic all coming close to reaching the play-offs.

In turn, teams FURIA, 9INE, G2 Esports and FaZe Clan suffered their second defeats, thereby hanging on by a thread to avoid relegation from the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

In the second round's Long Stage, Team Liquid of North America sensationally demolished NAVI (16-8) at Inferno, while Monte unexpectedly took down fnatic (19-17) at Vertigo.

After that, Vitality got their second win as they defeated ENCE (16-13) in Vertigo. At the same time Danish team Heroic beat Apeks (16:10) on Mirage.

Shortly after, Brazil's FURIA got their second defeat at the hands of Ninjas in Pyjamas (8:16) on Nuke, and 9INE unexpectedly defeated Ledge and GamerLegion (13:16) on Mirage.

Towards the end of the second round were the main draws, as G2 Esports Ledge and Bad News Eagles (13:16) on the map Ancient, and FaZe Clan was unable to cope with Into The Breach (12:16) on Inferno.

The BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 takes place from 8-21 May at the Accor Arena in France. The championship sees 24 competitors from the CIS, Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and Oceania competing for a combined prize pool of $1,250,000 and berths to IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST Premier World Final 2023.
