Teams BIG and OG got their second victory in the Play-In stage, thanks to which they made their way to the group stage of IEM Katowice 2023. By the end of the first day of the competition, the teams managed to complete their task and qualify for the main part of the championship. Now they will receive an additional two days of rest and time to prepare for the next matches.

During the Play-In stage, the German team BIG managed to cope with Complexity Gaming (16:12), as well as outplay the Brazilians from FURIA (2:1). In turn, the European team OG overcame Sprout (19:16) on its way, and also turned out to be stronger than fnatic (2:1).

Now the teams have to wait for the group stage seeding draw to find out their starting pairs and all the opponents in the groups.

At the same time, the second gaming day of the Play-In stage will give viewers four matches of the lower bracket, as a result of which four participants will leave the tournament, and the winners of the matches will go to the second round to fight for the last tickets to the IEM Katowice 2023 group stage.

IEM Katowice 2023 takes place from 1 to 12 February in Katowice at the Spodek Arena. As part of the championship, 24 teams from the CIS, Europe, North and Latin America, Asia and Oceania are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as a ticket to IEM Cologne 2023 for the winner.
