BLAST increased the number of open qualifiers for Europe and America

Tournament operator BLAST has increased the number of open qualifiers for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 in Europe, North America and Latin America. Now the organizers will hold two open qualifiers for each of the listed regions.

After listening to the community and their feedback, we've decided to make a few changes to the upcoming RMR qualifiers! European, North American and South American qualifiers will have additional open qualifiers. Thus, two qualifications will be held in three days.

The teams that made it to the closed qualifiers will play for the seed on the second day. Closed qualifiers will be shortened by one day. The dates of the North American and South American qualifiers have been moved forward by one week.

This decision comes after a series of negative comments from the community, as many pro players and commentators were unhappy with the decision to hold one qualifier for such an important event.

• Second open qualifier: February 14-15
• First closed qualifier: February 16-19
• Second closed qualifier: February 16-19

America:

• First open qualifier for Latin America: February 14-15
• Second open qualifier for Latin America: February 15-16
• Closed qualifier for Latin America: February 17-19
• First NA Open Qualifier: February 14-15
• Second NA Open Qualifier: February 15-16
• NA Closed Qualifier: February 17-19

Asia:

• Asia Open Qualifier: February 15-16
• Asia Closed Qualifier: February 17-19
• Oceania Open Qualifier: February 15-16
• Oceania Closed Qualifier: February 17-19
• China Open Qualifier: February 15-16
• China Closed Qualifier: February 17-19
• Middle East Open Qualifier: February 22-23
• Middle East Closed Qualifier: February 24-26
