The organizers revealed the first details of CCT Central Europe Series Finals 1
GRID, in collaboration with GamingMalta and Eden Esports, presented the first information about the upcoming CCT Central Europe Series Finals 1 championship. In addition to the change in the list of qualified participants, the organizers presented the first team that received a directive invitation to the event.
A successful season in Central Europe comes to an end with our first LAN tournament of 2023. Our partner REPUBLEAGUE has done an amazing job and we are looking forward to an exciting finale in Malta. The tournament, which will be the first of 11 studio finals in the Champion of Champions Tour, will take place in Malta from February 16-19 and boast a $100,000 prize pool.
Initially, three teams qualified for the championship - Copenhagen Flames, forZe and MIBR. However, as the tournament approached, the Brazilian team MIBR decided to withdraw from the competition. Thus, the organizers invited the Polish team HONORIS to the championship, which is on the fourth line in the table.
In addition, the first invited participants were the ENCE team, which will go to Malta in advance, where they will later perform as part of the ESL Pro League Season 17.
The tournament of eight teams will start with the group stage - the top two participants from each quartet will advance to the playoffs. Here the teams will fight in a double elimination bracket, where they will determine the winner of the CCT Central Europe Series Finals 1.
The champion of the competition will not only receive the lion's share of the prize pool, but will also be invited to the final CCT Global Finals 2024, which will be held in 2024.
