IEM Brazil 2023 Qualifier Dates Revealed

Tournament operator ESL has revealed the first details of the qualifying process for IEM Brazil 2023, its spring championship to be held in Brazil. As a result, the organizers have revealed qualifiers and dates for the return of the IEM series to South America.

IEM Brazil 2023 will start just two weeks after the end of ESL Pro League Season 17 in Malta and end two weeks before the start of BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

However, the organizers did not disclose the dates of the event itself, as well as the location of the participants. According to rumors, ESL will return to Rio de Janeiro, as previously reported by Brazilian sources.

Schedule of qualifying championships for IEM Brazil 2023

  • First open qualifier for Europe - January 27-28
  • Second Open Qualifier for Europe - January 30-31
  • European Closed Qualifier - February 8-10
  • First NA Open Qualifier - January 26-27
  • 2nd NA Open Qualifier - February 11-12
  • NA Closed Qualifier - February 15-16
  • First open qualifier for Latin America - January 26-27
  • Second open qualifier for Latin America - February 11-12
  • Latin America Closed Qualifier - February 15-16
  • Asia First Open Qualifier - January 21-22
  • Second Open Qualifier for Asia - January 23-24
  • Asia Closed Qualifier - January 26-27

Qualifiers will take place on the ESEA platform from January 21 to February 16 in four different regions and will allow five teams to qualify for the Brazilian tournament. Two qualifying spots have been reserved for European teams, while North America, South America and Asia will only receive one invitation each.

More information about IEM Brazil 2023 will be announced at a later date. The location of the event has not been disclosed at this time. The prize fund of the championship will be $250,000, as well as a slot at IEM Cologne 2023 for the winner.
