NAVI advances to the playoffs of IEM Rio Major 2022
The NaVi team turned out to be stronger than BIG with a score of 2:0, thanks to which they advanced to the playoffs of IEM Rio Major 2022. In the quarterfinals of the event, "Born to Win" will meet in FURIA - favorites of the local public. In turn, the German team leaves the championship, taking 9th-11th place and earning $20,000.
The second match of the final round of the Legends Stage started on the map Mirage, which became the choice of the "Born to Win". However, the German team immediately seized the initiative on the server, having read all the ideas of NAVI. And yet, closer to the change of sides, s1mple and the company managed to get a little closer and close the gap to a comfortable score — 9:6. After the change of sides, "Born to Win" quickly caught up with the opponent, but even here BIG found the strength to strain the opponent. Nevertheless, in the end, NAVI managed to even out the economy and quickly take the lead in the series — 16:12.
The teams then moved to the Dust 2 map, which turned out to be BIG's choice. Now the start was left for NAVI, which showed several successful rounds in defense. However, BIG did not think of giving up so easily and imposed a struggle that resulted in a minimal victory in the first half — 8:7. However, after switching sides, the Born to Win took control of the game in order to quickly subdue the opponent and run forward. In turn, the German team did not come up with anything in defense, allowing NAVI to break into the playoffs of IEM Rio Major 2022 - 16:11.
