FURIA co-owner will stand behind players at IEM Rio Major 2022

Andre Akkari, co-owner of the FURIA organization, will stand behind the backs of the players at the upcoming IEM Rio Major 2022. The functionary announced this on his social networks, talking about the problems that the coaching staff faced behind the scenes.

After months of debate between lawyers and the best possible effort! Valve decided that they would not comply with the ESIC recommendations, which would allow guerri and tacitus to stand behind the backs of the players at IEM Rio Major 2022. Shame! They claimed to have read the ESIC sanctions and ignored a fair assessment due to a mistake in their own game. My brother and guerri idol is not allowed to work with what he loves most in a historic event in his country after proving 100% innocent. Sometimes this world sucks!

Recall that guerri, the head coach of FURIA, was suspended from participating in the majors due to the use of the ill-fated bug. As a result, the Brazilian specialist received a ban until the end of 2023, but later ESIC made adjustments to its penalty calculation system and reduced the suspension period. However, Valve did not heed the recommendations of the Commission, thereby leaving the sanctions against guerri unchanged.

It is noteworthy that at PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and PGL Major Antwerp 2022, tacitus, the assistant head coach, stood behind the FURIA players. However, the 22-year-old specialist will also not be able to help the team this time. It is reported that guerri and tacitus will support the team outside the server, providing pre-match and analytical assistance.

FURIA roster for the upcoming IEM Rio Major 2022:

  • yuurih
  • art
  • KSCERATO
  • drop
  • saffee
  • Andre Akkari (acting coach)

FURIA will start its way to the Major from the Challengers stage, but after a relatively poor performance at the RMR tournament, it was seeded Contenders. Here, the Brazilian team will compete for eight slots at the Legends stage along with OG, Team Vitality, Evil Geniuses, Bad News Eagles, Cloud9, MOUZ, BIG, 9z Team, Imperial Esports, Grayhound, IHC Esports, fnatic, Outsiders, 00NATION and IHC.
