Today, September 8, teams must provide the tournament operator ESL with the final rosters that will take part in the upcoming IEM Road to Rio 2022. The corresponding rosterlock date is indicated in the official championship rulebook. At the same time, teams can add their players at any time before the start of the RMR cycle

The list submission deadline is Thursday, September 8, 2022. During qualifying matches, players may be added to the squad at any time before the registration deadline, but not immediately after it starts, unless there is a no-match period of at least 24 hours.

Based on the rulebook, the team must retain the majority of its roster throughout the entire RMR cycle. This means that participants who have passed the stage of open qualifiers, as well as directly invited to the qualifying championships, must retain a core of three or more people.

Lineup rules for IEM Road to Rio 2022:

  • The squad must consist of five starting players
  • A team may include one coach and up to one substitute per event

At the same time, teams can make changes in the compositions only among those participants who were previously declared in the list for registration.
