The game day has ended as part of the second North American open qualifier for IEM Road to Rio 2022 for America, according to the results of which the Evil Geniuses and ATK teams have secured participation in the upcoming RMR tournament. During the qualifiers, Evil Geniuses managed to outplay MagicLight (16:1), Limitless (19:17), Team oNe eSports (16:13) and BHOP Esports (2:0). The Evil Geniuses at IEM Road to Rio 2022 for America will be joined by the ATK team, which turned out to be stronger than Arctic Ace (16:11), Unjustified Gaming (16:5), Mythic (22:20) and Strife Esports (2:one).

Now the teams are waiting for a face-to-face confrontation in order to play for the right to get the best possible seed at the upcoming RMR tournament.

The second North American open qualifier for the IEM Road to Rio 2022 Americas runs from August 31st to September 2nd online.

The RMR tournament for teams from North and South America will take place from 5 to 9 October in Stockholm. The team that takes first place at IEM Road to Rio 2022 will receive Legend status. The teams that take places from 2nd to 3rd will receive the Challenger status. Teams ranked from 4th to 6th will receive Contender status. The remaining teams will miss IEM Rio Major 2022.
