The second open qualifiers for IEM Road to Rio 2022 in China and Asia have come to an end, following which all participants in the closed qualifiers in the two listed sub-regions have been determined. Let's get acquainted with the participants of the upcoming closed qualifiers for the RMR tournament, which will be held online from August 27 to 28.

Chinese qualifications

The winners of the first open qualifier from China were Rare Atom and Lynn Vision Gaming, who went through their opponents and did not suffer a single defeat.

The teams TYLOO and Wings Up Gaming made it to the closed qualifiers from the second qualifiers. Thus, the presented participants completed the composition of the IEM Road to Rio 2022 China Closed Qualifier.

Asian qualifiers

Interestingly, in the combined qualification for a number of Asian countries, representatives of Mongolia became the strongest. Based on the results of the first open qualifier, the teams IHC Esports and Team NKT made it further. According to the results of the second qualifiers, they will be joined by the teams Aravt and The MongolZ.

Note that this time some interesting representatives of the region were left without a major, including D13 and Team Renewal.

EM Rio Major 2022 will be held from October 31 to November 13 in Brazil. The first two stages of the championship will be held in a studio format. However, the playoffs of IEM Rio Major 2022, which is scheduled for November 10-13, will be held at the Jeunesse Arena, which can accommodate from 15,000 to 22,000 people. Like at the last major, the prize pool of IEM Rio Major 2022 will be $1,000,000.
