WePlay Academy League Season 5 Spectator Guide

WePlay Academy League Season 5 will start any minute. As part of the championship, which will last until August 14, fourteen youth teams from Europe, the CIS, Turkey and South America will compete for a prize pool of $100,000. Probably, the main favorite and contender for victory is already known. However, we still offer to get acquainted with the format of the championship, the participants and the distribution of the prize fund of the championship.

Format of WePlay Academy League Season 5

The championship will start from the group stage, dividing all participants into two groups (seven teams in each). Here the teams will play the group stage in a round robin format, playing two matches with each opponent. All meetings at the WePlay Academy League Season 5 group stage will be held in the BO1 format. The winners of each group will go directly to the final part of the competition, which will be held from 12 to 14 August.

Teams that take places from 2nd to 4th will proceed to the Play-In stage. The teams that are located on the remaining lines of their groups will leave the championship. The second teams of the group stage will start their way from the semi-final stage. Teams that will take 3rd and 4th places will start their way to the Play-In stage from the quarterfinals.

Recall that the winner of the previous four seasons of the WePlay Academy League is the MOUZ NXT team. In the grand final of last season, the team defeated BIG Academy 2-0 and earned $45,000.
