karrigan, who is the captain of FaZe Clan, commented on the results of the group stage of IEM Cologne 2022. According to the 32-year-old Danish esportsman, he was surprised by the presence of only two teams from the TOP-10 of the world ranking in the championship playoffs.

With this level of competition, it's very hard to consistently stay on top. Other teams from the TOP-10 of the world ranking showed results throughout the season, got into the quarter- and semi-finals. I think the teams that went far in this tournament had problems with the roster - they used the last opportunity to prove that they can fight the best. Surprisingly, from the TOP 10, only we and NAVI made it to the playoffs. On the other hand, it just confirms that FaZe Clan and NAVI were one level above everyone else this season.

Only two teams from the TOP-10 of the world ranking, NAVI and FaZe Clan, became participants in the playoffs of IEM Cologne 2022. The teams MOUZ (14th place), Movistar Riders (13th place), Astralis also made it to the playoffs of the championship (11th line) and Team Liquid (17th line).

Recall that FaZe Clan had a successful start at IEM Cologne 2022, having won three wins over 00NATION (2:0), Team Spirit (2:0) and Astralis (2:0) in the group stage.

IEM Cologne 2022 takes place from 5 to 17 July in Germany at the Hyatt Regency Cologne and LANXESS arena venues. As part of the championship, 24 teams from Europe, the CIS, Oceania, China, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as rating points in the BLAST Premier table.
