Aleksib: "I apologize to our fans who wanted to see G2 Esports in the final"

Aleksib, who is the captain of G2 Esports, asked for forgiveness for the defeat in the semi-finals of BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2022 from the Vitality team. During the conversation, the 25-year-old Finnish esportsman also expressed his hope to show a better result at the next championship.

It was one of those games where we got off to a good start and were almost perfect with each other. Considering all this, after the match with Vitality, I cannot understand how we lost. It felt like we had complete control over what was happening.

It is difficult for me to draw any positive conclusions after this tournament. When we flew from FURIA to IEM Dallas 2022, we showed a good game and the desire to win. We were expected to perform better at the BLAST tournament. Losing one step away from the final sucks. There is nothing more to add.

I apologize to our fans who wanted to see G2 Esports in the final. After IEM Katowice 2022, we should have won trophies or at least made it to the finals, but we couldn't. Ahead of IEM Cologne 2022. Let's see what we can do there.

Recall that the day before, the G2 Esports team lost to Vitality with a score of 1:2 and left BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2022, taking 3rd-4th place.
