The FaZe Clan team won the first victory in the BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2022. In the first round of the group stage of the championship, the European team proved to be stronger than the Brazilians from paiN Gaming with a score of 2:0 (Ancient - 16:7; Inferno - 16:6).

The first meeting of the entire championship started on the Ancient map, which became the choice of the Brazilian team. At the same time, the first half was held in an equal fight, as the teams invariably exchanged a series of rounds. And if the start was left for FaZe Clan, then closer to the change of sides, paiN Gaming managed to equalize the situation and reach a comfortable score of 9:6. However, after the change of sides, the fight disappeared somewhere, since the Brazilians, having moved to the side of defense, failed to adapt to the opponent. In turn, FaZe Clan showed a confident attack and took the lead in the series — 16:7.

Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, which became the choice of FaZe Clan. Here, the intrigue didn't have time to appear on the server, just as RobbaN's wards showed an excellent half in the attack in order to go for a short break with a comfortable score of 11:4. After the switch of sides, the Brazilian team managed to win the pistol round, but the lost force finally buried paiN Gaming's chances. As a result, FaZe Clan quickly seized the initiative and managed to close the series in their favor — 16:6.

After this victory, FaZe Clan is close to reaching the playoffs of BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2022. In the next match, the team will play with the winner of the G2 Esports meeting — Vitality. In turn, the Brazilian team was one step away from relegation from the tournament, rolling back to the bottom of the group stage.
