s1mple, who is a sniper and the main star of NaVi, reflected on his future in an interview before the start of BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2022. As part of the conversation, the 24-year-old Ukrainian esportsman also touched on the topic of war, which, in his opinion, had a strong impact on the entire competitive scene in the CIS.

We still haven't decided who we're going to play with next. On the one hand it's better for us because in terms of individual skill I feel like we've gotten better, but as a new captain we still need more practice to understand how electroNic will lead the team.

Kostylev did not forget to talk about the uncertainty that is currently associated with his career.

It's about deciding what to do. I don't know what will happen to the organization and all the players. We still have to decide if we can stick together or if we should make more lineup changes. Maybe I'll take a break because I have something to do with my life. For example, I need to move and get a lot of documents. When you have tournament after tournament, there is simply no time for this.

Now I don’t have an apartment or a house where I can live permanently, and this is the main problem. I need to arrange my life, I want to play, stream and not think about other things, and not travel with the same bag for six months. My teammates live with their families. b1t is in Spain with mom and dad, sdy is in Kyiv, but he has permission to leave the country for the championships. I am constantly traveling and psychologically tired of it.

At the end of the conversation, s1mple shared his thoughts on the current state of the scene in the CIS, noting that the war had a strong impact on the performances of the NAVI team.

Am I sorry? Yes. It seems that Putin decided to remove all teams from the CIS from victories in tournaments and disband them. Because that's the most important thing that happened. When the war started, we were morally destroyed and reached the semi-finals of IEM Katowice 2022, where we lost to G2. I'm talking about G2, which after that can not succeed in any tournament. Then we lost to ourselves, and after that we did not train before ESL Pro League Season 15 and lost again. It looked like the Major would be the last championship for this roster, as everyone knew changes were coming.

In general, what is happening in the world... We just lost to ourselves. Maybe it looks like an excuse. We could play better and win, but I think that's the main reason we're not talking about the NAVI era right now.

BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2022 will be held from June 15 to 19 in Lisbon at the Altice Arena. As part of the championship, the eight best teams of the spring season from Europe and North America will compete for a prize pool of $425,000, rating points for the BLAST Premier table, and a ticket to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022.
