Krimbo to miss the rest of Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022

Krimbo will miss the rest of the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 due to testing positive for coronavirus. The place of the 19-year-old German esportsman will be taken by k1to, who has already arrived in Sweden and will help BIG in the upcoming match.

The German esports organization, shortly before the start of the upper bracket final against Astralis, announced that Krimbo had tested positive for coronavirus and, based on the current rules, was forced to withdraw from the championship. It is reported that k1to has already flown to Sweden to join the rest of the team.

Recall that k1to left the BIG starting lineup at the end of February, giving way to the young Krimbo. While the 23-year-old German esportsman helped the club's academy, Krimbo himself achieved considerable success in the main roster, taking second place in the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR A and reaching the semi-finals of the Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Dallas.

The German club intends to give their young player some time to recover as BIG will attend BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022 in Lisbon next week.

Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 takes place from 8 to 11 June in the Swedish city of Lund at the Sparbanken Skåne Arena. As part of the championship, eight participants from Europe, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $250,000. Team BIG successfully completed their performances at the group stage, getting victories over MIBR and fnatic.
