The Chinese team Rare Atom will miss the ESL Pro League Conference Season 16. The eSports club announced this on social networks, adding that it will not be able to come to Sweden due to the lockdown in China.

We regret that Rare Atom will not be able to travel to Sweden to participate in the ESL Pro League Conference Season 16 due to the epidemic situation in Shanghai. The relevant structures do not accept applications, as a result of which we were unable to obtain the necessary documents to leave the country.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to take part in the championship due to force majeure. We will train harder in China to prepare for the next tournament.

We thank ESL for their help during this period and we appreciate all your attention and support.

Recall that Rare Atom got the right to play at the ESL Pro League Conference Season 16 thanks to its victory in the ESL Challenger League Season 40: Asia-Pacific. It is currently unknown who will replace the team in the championship.

It is unclear whether the Chinese team will be able to take part in the July ESL Challenger at DreamHack Valencia 2022, where it qualified through the regional qualifiers.

Note that Rare Atom is currently preparing to play in the playoffs of ESL Challenger League Season 41: Asia-Pacific. According to the results of the group stage, the team became the strongest in its group, having won seven victories in seven meetings.
