The first gaming day of the REPUBLEAGUE Season 3 group stage has ended, following which the teams ECSTATIC and ex-MAD Lions outplayed 1WIN (2:1) and Eternal Fire (2:0), respectively, thus making it to the upper bracket semi-finals. We propose to summarize the results of the first day of the competition.

ECSTATIC-1WIN

The opening match of the championship began on the Dust 2 map, which became the choice of the Russian team. At the same time, 1WIN players seized the initiative very quickly, closing the first half with a score of 11:4. After the change of sides, the Danes tried to return to the game, but it turned out to be too late. As a result, 1WIN got the victory at their own peak and took the lead in the series — 16:12.

Then the teams moved to the Vertigo map, the first half of which was marked by a slight superiority of 1WIN. However, after switching sides, ECSTATIC managed to level the difference in order to switch the game to overtime and equalize the score in the series — 22:20.

Everything was decided on the Ancient map, the first half of which ended with a minimal advantage for the Danish team. After the change of sides, none of the teams could boast of an advantage for a long time. However, in the very end, ECSTATIC managed to take the lead, thus closing the series in their favor — 16:13.

Eternal Fire—ex-MAD Lions

The final meeting of the first gaming day started on the Dust 2 map, which became the choice of the Turkish team. However, the teams did not manage to identify the strongest in the two halves, having moved to overtime. Here, ex-MAD Lions took advantage of the opponent's mistakes to turn the match in their favor and take the lead in the series - 25:22.

After that, the teams moved to the Mirage map, the first half of which was held in an equal fight. However, after the switchover, the Turkish team did not show anything for the attack, while ex-MAD Lions demonstrated a confident defense. As a result, the former MAD Lions roster won an unexpected victory and made it to the semi-finals of the group stage — 16:9.
