Tournament operator Black Molly Entertainment has presented the results of the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 group stage draw. According to its results, Heroic and BIG teams will play in Group A, where they will also face the renewed fnatic roster and the Brazilians from BIG.

The main favorite of group A should be the Danish team Heroic, which misses IEM Dallas 2022 due to the coronavirus outbreak, preparing to visit the Swedish Lund. However, you should not write off BIG, which reached the semi-finals at the same IEM Dallas 2022 without suffering a single defeat in the group stage. They will be accompanied by fnatic and MIBR, who can become passengers on this celebration of life, given all the difficulties and results of the teams.

The clear leader of Group B seems to be Astralis, which is unlikely to be able to compete with Team Finest and Imperial Esports. The North American team Evil Geniuses will also play here. However, it is unclear what lineup the team will bring to the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022, as the club recently announced the expansion of its roster to 15 players.

Group A:

  • Heroic, BIG, MIBR and fnatic.

Group B:

  • Astralis, Evil Geniuses, Team Finest and Imperial Esports.

The opening matches of the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 group stage will be held in BO1 format. All the rest are in BO3 format.

The winners of each group will advance to the upper bracket final. In turn, the teams that take second places in their quartets will advance to the first round of the lower bracket.
