Movistar Riderds is the first team to leave IEM Dallas 2022

Add as a Preferred Source

The Movistar Riders team did not have enough strength to fight against tier-1 teams. G2 cannot find their game against serious opponents.

Movistar Riders vs Mousesports

  1. MOUZ removed Overpass
  2. Movistar Riders removed Dust2
  3. MOUZ picked Ancient
  4. Movistar Riders picked Mirage
  5. MOUZ removed Vertigo
  6. Movistar Riders removed Inferno
  7. Nuke was left over

The match between Movistar Riders and MOUZ took place in the lower bracket. The Spanish team got into the lower bracket after losing to G2 in the bo1 series earlier on the Nuke map with a score of 16:5. MOUZ had previously lost to the ENCE team, all on the same Nuke map, with a score of 16:9.

The first map in this confrontation was Ancient, MR started on defense, not without luck they managed to take 8 rounds in the first half, but when they went over to the attacking side, they didn’t succeed at all. The score of the first map is 16:9 in favor of Mousesports.

On the second Mirage map, which was already chosen by Movistar Riders themselves, their attack didn't stand out too much either, only five rounds taken in a half, and exactly the same amount on the defense side. As a result, 16:10 in favor of the “mice”. It is difficult to single out the flawless game of MOUZ, they both made mistakes and continue to do so. Rather, their opponent was not ready to fight on the tier-1 stage.

G2 Esports vs ENCE

  1. G2 removed Overpass
  2. ENCE removed Inferno
  3. G2 picked Dust2
  4. ENCE picked Nuke
  5. G2 removed Ancient
  6. ENCE removed Mirage
  7. Vertigo was left over

Both teams coped with their first matches without any problems.

As for Dust2, picked by the French organization, they have already faced ENCE on this map not so long ago, besides, ENCE played with the full lineup then, and now they have to play with a stand-in. Instead of "spinx" at IEM Dallas, 28-year-old Pole "Snax" plays. The last meeting on this map ended 16:7 in favor of G2. They failed to repeat this result, and as a result 16:14 in favor of ENCE. And although G2 tried to comeback for additional stages, a streak from the rounds was not enough for them. ENCE closed this map for themselves with an amazing blowout at the B site.

The second map was Nuke, G2's defense is very lame, and "JACKZ" doesn't do well with shooting, he lost a lot of duels. But the young player "m0NESY" demonstrated not the worst performance, and took the most important clutches, and made stable frags with AWP. But G2 loses again with a close score of 16:14. And even though the comeback was already close, the team simply did not have enough firepower. I would like to note "Snax", he has not played on the tier-1 scene for a long time, but he showed that it is too early to write him off, which can compete with the young. His stats at the end of the series are 36-37.

Intel Extreme Masters Season XVII- Dallas started on May 30th and will end on June 5th.

Sixteen teams from Europe, North and South America, Oceania are fighting for the tournament prize pool of $250,000. The winner will receive the main prize of $100,000.
