StarLadder and Global Esports Federation will hold a LAN tournament with a prize pool of $250,000
/The Ukrainian tournament operator StarLadder together with the Global Esports Federation announced a LAN-tournament in the CS:GO discipline with a prize pool of $250,000. As part of the championship, which will be held from 9 to 11 June in Dubai at the Dubai World Trade Center, eight teams will take part. It is reported that the tournament is timed to coincide with the Global Esports Tour 2022 in key cities of the world.
After the success of the 2021 season, the Global Esports Tour is back for a second season and Dubai is kicking off the 2022 professional esports season. The Global Esports Tour will kick off from June 9-11 as part of the Dubai EMG 2022 Esports Festival hosted by Esports Management Group (EMG).
The Global Esports Tour includes a series of tournaments held in key cities around the world throughout the year. Each stage of the tournament will absorb one of the leading esports disciplines. This year's first Global Esports Tour series will be played in CS:GO. The total prize pool of the Global Esports Tour this season will be over $1 million.
The Global Esports Federation has also named two cities that will host other Global Esports Tour tournaments. The next championship will take place from 6 to 7 August in Birmingham, while the final stage will take place in Istanbul in December.
It should be noted that the NASR Esports team will take part in the Global Esports Tour 2022: Dubai, which got into the championship thanks to the victory in last year's qualification. A total of eight teams will take part in the tournament, seven of which will be selected by direct invitation.
