Team Vitality and G2 Esports made it to PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Legends Stage

The second gaming day of the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Challengers Stage has ended, following which Team Vitality and G2 Esports made it to the next stage of the Major, which will begin on Saturday, May 14th. At the same time, Renegades and 9z left PGL Major Antwerp 2022 with their third mistake. Well, we are getting acquainted with the results of the third round of the competition.

Third round of PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Challengers Stage

The game day was opened by the confrontation between the teams that finished the first two rounds with a score of "1-1". In the first case, Team Spirit confidently outplayed Eternal Fire (16:11) on the Dust 2 map. In a parallel meeting, the Kosovars from Bad News Eagles beat Imperial Esports (16:12), having managed to withstand the pressure in the second half. In the third match of the game day, the Outsiders team coped with Complexity Gaming (16:9) without any problems, thus gaining a second victory in the championship. At the same time, the Danish team Astralis got a hard-fought victory over MIBR (16:13), albeit showing a shaky attack on the Overpass map.

In the first elimination match from the tournament, the Mongolian team IHC Esports expectedly outplayed Renegades, knocking out the Australians from PGL Major Antwerp 2022. In the parallel match, Team Vitality outplayed the Russian team forZe (2:1), even despite the defeat on the first map. Team Liquid won its first victory in the championship, which managed to cope with 9z (2:0) and knock out the Latin Americans from the tournament. At the same time, G2 Esports crushed ENCE (2:1), thanks to which they made their way to the next stage of PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 takes place from 9 to 22 May at the Antwerps Sportpaleis in Belgium. As part of the tournament, 24 teams from all over the world are fighting for a prize pool of $1,000,000, EPT and BLAST Premier ranking points, and a ticket to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022.
