Ninjas in Pajamas and MOUZ advance in group stage at IEM Katowice 2022

The third day of IEM Katowice 2022 continues and today's winners are joined by two teams: NIP defeated Gambit Esports (2-1) and Team Vitality defeated MOUZ (2-1).

Ninjas in Pajamas and Gambit Esports

GMB took the first half of Ancient 11-4, cornering the NIP team. From the switching sides, NIP showed an excellent defense game, thanks to which they were able to comeback and close Ancient with a score of 16-13.

The second map of Vertigo started with an aggressive defensive game against the NIP team, but it didn't help them to take the first half, GMB played 9-6. The second part started with another comeback from the NIP team, but in the end GMB took their pick with a score of 16-11.

Overpass was the final map, the guys from NIP played amazing rounds for the attack, taking advantage of the game in the first half, closing it with a score of 8-7. The tight confrontation of the teams ended with the victory of NIP over the champions of last year's Katowice Gambit 16-8.

Team Vitality and MOUZ

MOUZ and Vitality were tied in the first half on the Vertigo map with a score of 8-7. In the second half, the tension did not subside, the teams went head to head, which led us to two series of extra rounds. After a long struggle, Vitality closed the first map with a score of 22-19.

The second map was Inferno, on which Vitality closed the first half for the attack uncertainly, losing the advantage over the opponent - 8-7. The next stages in this match ended with the victory of MOUZ - 19-17.

Everything was decided on the Nuke map. Vitality dominated the match for the defense side, finishing the first half with a score of 14-1. In the second half, the French team did not lose their heads and put the pressure on their opponents for the attack, thus winning the last map with a score of 16-10.
