Sprout will replace TYLOO with IEM Katowice 2022
4047ESL has announced a change in the composition of the participants of IEM Katowice 2022. Due to restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, the Chinese team TYLOO will miss the championship. According to the rules, TYLOO's place in the tournament will be taken by the Sprout team, which is next in the ranking from ESL.
At the same time, the tournament operator added that invitations were also sent to Team Spirit and forZe. However, the Russian organizations were unable to confirm the availability of visas for their cybersportsmen at the appointed time. For this reason, an invitation to IEM Katowice 2022 was sent to the Sprout team, which was next in the ranking of the tournament operator.
Sprout will start its journey at IEM Katowice 2022 from the Play-In stage, which will begin on Tuesday, February 15th. Together with the Danish-German team, NIP, Astralis, Renegades, Wisla Krakow, Extra Salt, Entropiq, Copenhagen Flames, ENCE, FaZe Clan GODSENT, MIBR, BIG, OG, fnatic and MOUZ will take part.
IEM Katowice 2022 will take place from 15 to 27 February in Katowice. The tournament will feature some of the best teams in the world including NAVI, Gambit, G2, Heroic, Vitality, Astralis and Virtus.pro. A total of 24 teams will compete for a prize pool of $1,000,000.
