The stage of the 1/8 finals of Malta Vibes Knockout Series 5 has ended, following which eight teams formed quarter-final pairs for further participation in the championship.

The first ticket to the 1/4 finals of the tournament was the SINNERS team. In a tense struggle, the Czech team outplayed 1shot with a score of 2:1, thus making their debut in the new season. The next ticket to the quarterfinals went to Copenhagen Flames, who beat the Swedes from Young Ninjas (2:0) without any problems.

Following the Danes, the K23 team got their victory. The Russian team quickly made amends for the relegation from Funspark ULTI 2021 Finals, getting a confident victory over the Poles from Ungentium (2:0). The fourth ticket to the 1/4 finals of Malta Vibes Knockout Series 5 was obtained by ECSTATIC, who easily coped with Nexus with a score of 2:0.

flamie and 1WIN had a successful debut, they easily outplayed Los Reyes (2:0) and made it to the next stage of the championship. In the most intense match of the tournament, the HEET team managed to overcome AVE (2:0).

forZe also got off to a good start in the new season. The Russian team beat Entropiq Prague (2:0) without too much trouble, leaving the Czechs with a nose and the first defeat of the year. The last slot in the Malta Vibes Knockout Series 5 quarterfinals went to Wisła Kraków. The Polish team beat their compatriots from AGO without a chance (2:0), thus continuing to show strong results in the new season.

Malta Vibes Knockout Series 5 runs from 17 to 27 January online. 40 teams are competing for a $50,000 prize pool, as well as two training camps in Malta.
