Virtus.pro and FURIA will perform at ESL Challenger 48

The organizers of ESL Challenger 48 presented the full list of participants in the championship. Teams selected through regional closed qualifiers will be accompanied by Virtus.pro, FURIA, Dignitas and Movistar Riders. These teams will compete for a prize pool of $100,000, which will be competed for online from February 11 to 13.

Recall that the organizers originally planned to hold the championship in Anaheim. However, ESL later abandoned this idea due to the surge of the new Omicron strain. As a result, the tournament was urgently moved online, and the name was also changed so as not to be associated with a specific region. At the same time, the organizers retained the participants who had previously passed through the regional qualifications at ESL Challenger 48.

ESL Challenger 48 will be held online from 11 to 13 February. Eight teams from all over the world will compete for a $100,000 prize pool. The tournament will start from the group stage, where the two best teams from each quartet will form the playoff bracket. The winner of the championship will take $50,000 and a ticket to the ESL Pro League Conference Season 16.
