BLAST Premier World Final 2021: Gambit Esports reached the final of the upper bracket

Today the holiday continues on the streets of CS: GO fans. This time we were pleased with Team Liquid and Gambit Esports, who played against each other in the semifinals of the upper bracket. The meeting turned out to be tense and very intriguing on the first two maps.

The first battleground was Inferno. The first half was as balanced as possible and ended with a score of 8-7 in favor of Team Liquid. The latter, by the way, started on the side of the attack. They did not manage to play very well for defense, and for this reason the team could not ultimately beat Gambit Esports on this map, having suffered a defeat with a score of 14-16.

The second card was Vertigo. She followed a similar scenario. Gambit Esports started this time for the attack, and the first half, just like in the case of Inferno, ended with a minimal difference in the won rounds. Gambit won 8 rounds. There was a similarity with Inferno in that the team, which started playing for the attack and won the first 8 rounds, could not show a good game in the second half and were defeated. This time, Team Liquid prevailed on the second map with a score of 16-13.

While the first two maps created intrigue and thrill for everyone who participated in the match or watched it, the third map was a one-sided game. Gambit defeated Liquid on Overpass 16-2. In the first half they showed the filigree art of defense, losing only two rounds, and in the second half the team began with a won pistol round and ended the meeting with a victorious second round for the attack.

Thus, Gambit Esports became the first finalist in the upper bracket, while Team Liquid fell to the lower one. There EliGE and his teammates will fight against gla1ve and his teammates from Astralis. In the summer of 2019, we could call the upcoming meeting a real esports el-clasico, but now this concept is a stretch here.

As a reminder, Heroic and NiP have already completed their way in the championship following the results of the previously completed matches. The teams took the 7th-8th place and received consolation prizes in the form of $ 15,000.
