Malta Vibes Knockout Series 4 has started, the final event in the series in 2021. The remaining two championships will be played next season, which means that 40 participating teams will compete for the coveted bootcamp in Malta, organized by Eden Esports. In this regard, we propose to get acquainted with the participants of the championship, remember the rules and format, and also highlight the favorites in the fight for $ 50,000.

Malta Vibes Knockout Series 4 format

Malta Vibes Knockout Series 4 will run online from November 29 to December 9. The championship will be attended by 40 teams from all over the world, which will compete for a prize fund of $ 50,000. The tournament still offers an extremely interesting format, divided into two stages. The first stage will be attended by 32 teams, which, starting from the 1/16 finals, will make their way to the second stage of the competition.

List of participants in the first stage of Malta Vibes Knockout Series 4: Nemiga, INDE IRAE, EC Kyiv, hREDS, cowana, Wisla Krakow, HONORIS, Young Ninjas, fnatic Rising, D13, ECLOT, Budapest Five, AVE, Apeks Rebels, SAW Youngsters, eXploit, AURA, 777, GORILLAZ, Finest, Tranquillum, Marten, Nexus, Tricked, Eternal Fire, Coalesce, MOUZ NXT, Feenix, Enterprise, 4glory, Astralis Talent and EC Brugge.

According to the results of the first stage, which will consist of two rounds, the eight best teams will advance to the next stage of the championship. Eight invited teams are already waiting for the participants here. From this stage, 16 teams will determine the winner in the Singles Elimination Draw. All matches without exception will be held in the BO3 format (up to two wins).

List of participants in the second stage of Malta Vibes Knockout Series 4: Copenhagen Flames, BLINK, MAD Lions, AGO, 1WIN, ECSTATIC, HAVU and Dignitas.

Prize fund distribution

Since the number of participants is large, the organizers offer a scheme for distributing the prize fund that is already familiar for this series of tournaments:

  • Grand Final Winner - $ 16,000
  • Semifinals Winners - $ 5,000.
  • Quarterfinals Winners - $ 2,000.
  • Round of 16 Winners - $ 1,000.
  • Round of 24 Winners - $ 1,000.

Top favorites Malta Vibes Knockout Series 4

Among the contenders for the victory from the first basket of participants (the first stage), MOUZ NXT should be highlighted. The young team continues to show a truly adult game, closing rivals at the WePlay Academy League. At the same time, the team has already reached the playoffs of the Pinnacle Fall Series 3 without losing a single match in the Swiss stage. Also, let's not forget that MOUZ NXT reached the Malta Vibes Knockout Series 3 semi-finals, where they lost 1: 2 to 1WIN.

In the second basket, favorites include ECSTATIC, MAD Lions, Copenhagen Flames and 1WIN. If ECSTATIC became the winner of Malta Vibes Knockout Series 3 at all, then the 1WIN team reached the grand final of the previous draw. It is no less interesting to watch Copenhagen Flames, which, after the end of PGL Major Stockholm 2021, cannot find its game in any way. However, the Danes lost their coach, who decided to move to Dignitas. MAD Lions, on the other hand, managed to play on the TIER-1 stage, taking third place in the DreamHack Open November 2021. But if the team has not been successful lately, there are no questions about the individual form of the players.
