The tournament will be presented to a live audience at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Center with a capacity of 1,000 people.

The list of participants in the championship is still unknown. However, many world-class teams have taken part in the Elisa Invitational playoffs over the past year, including Gambit, FURIA, fnatic and Heroic.

The Elisa Invitational Winter 2021 will be attended by four invited teams, as well as four teams that will qualify in Scandinavia, which will be held from November 8-14 in Norway, Sweden and Finland. At the same time, Elisa Esports planned to hold qualifications in Denmark, but later abandoned this idea due to problems with the organization.

The eight participants of the Elisa Invitational Winter 2021 will be divided into two groups, from where the two best teams will advance to the playoffs.
