Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict League – Complete Guide to the New Trading System - Asynchronous Trade

Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0, releasing on August 29, introduces a truly massive innovation for players – the Asynchronous Trade system, which completely reshapes the way trading works and makes it far more convenient. Sellers will now be able to list their items for sale even while offline, while buyers can instantly purchase what they need without wasting time waiting for responses. It’s important to note that all these changes are part of the biggest patch so far – version 0.3.0.

What is Asynchronous Trade?

Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict League – Complete Guide to the New Trading System - Asynchronous Trade 1

The new Asynchronous Trade system was designed to eliminate the countless hours players used to spend sitting in their hideouts, waiting for sellers to respond. Now, all you need to do is list an item for sale through a special NPC named Ange, who will handle all the routine work for you. She manages your listings, letting you focus on playing the game instead of wasting time on negotiations.

Items you put up for sale will appear both on the official trade site and in the in-game market browser. Buyers can instantly teleport to your hideout and purchase the item using in-game currency and gold. Once the transaction is complete, you’ll receive a notification that your item has been sold. This dramatically speeds up the process and makes trading more transparent and accessible.

In addition, this update also launches the very first full-fledged league – Rise of the Abyssals, which brings back the familiar Path of Exile atmosphere while introducing new mechanics and exclusive items.

How to Access the System

Ange will appear in Act 4 and serve as your main trading NPC. In your hideout, you’ll be able to hand items over to her and set a price. From that moment, other players will see your listing, teleport directly to your hideout, and purchase the item with in-game currency and gold.

For those who already own Premium Stash Tabs, there’s an additional option – you can convert them into Merchant Tabs through the official website. There’s no limit to how many Merchant Tabs you can have, and you can also adjust the prices of your items, though doing so comes with a cooldown. To collect your earnings, simply interact with Ange, open the Manage Shop option, and head to the Earnings tab.

Patch 0.3.0 is not just another update – it’s a fundamental step forward for Path of Exile 2. It introduces the game’s very first full-fledged league and, at the same time, solves the long-standing issue of inconvenient trading. The Asynchronous Trade system unlocks a completely new level of comfort, allowing players to focus on character progression and world exploration instead of endless negotiations. This massive update proves that PoE 2 is gradually building its own ecosystem and laying the foundation for the game’s long-term growth.
